National Communications 4 Million Frequency Database
What is covered
Our exhaustive frequency database covers virtually every scanner frequency
in the U.S., Canada and beyond. Now you can sit in the comfort of your home
and find the hottest frequencies for your area. Not only can you find the
frequencies for your local police and fire departments, but you can also
have access to the "private" channels of businesses and individuals.
You can locate frequencies for utility companies, ham radio repeaters, towing
companies, taxicab operations, manufacturers, movie producers, delivery
companies, private detectives, engineering firms not to mention farming
operations, trains, planes and boats.
Although a frequency directory is a handy reference tool, it only offers
you frequencies whereas National Communications Magazine offers you
millions of frequencies, and useful information on how to get the most out
of your scanner.
We are not saying to forego the purchase of a frequency directory, just to
consider the advantages of having a current, constantly updated
frequency database as well as useful information on how to achieve the
maximum benefits of your scanner or CB.
Make the Comparison:
Betty Bearcat Directories: ($15.00). Are regional in scope, and while updated
from time to time can not be updated as quickly or easily as an internet site.
Betty Bearcat CD Rom: ($25.00). These CD Roms cover the entire U.S.,
Territories as well as Canada and its territories. These CD's are on our
web site and make up part of the 4 million frequency database. However, the
internet site is updated more often than the CD roms.
Mr. Scanner CD Rom: ($25.00). This CD covers the raw database from the U.S.
and is contained on a two CD Rom set with over 3.5 million frequencies.
Again, this CD rom is on our internet site and that site is updated more
often than the actual CD roms.
Police Call Directories: ($19.00). Although the books are regional in scope
and include a CD rom, they are only updated annually.
FCC Database Online: (Free) Although this site is free of charge, it has
(at least in the past) been down more than it has been up. The database does
not cover any information on frequencies outside the U.S., nor does it cover
airport (FAA Towers, Approach or Departure or Aeronautical Enroute Frequencies)
or amateur repeater frequencies.
PERCON Spectrum Online: ($45.95 yearly). This online database, which is
better than the FCC site, nonetheless offers nothing other than frequencies.
Again it does not include FAA Frequencies or Amateur Repeater channels. If
you are going to pay the price for this online database, you should consider
National Communications as you get not only frequencies, but useful
information on how to use your scanner or CB on a bi-monthly basis.
Do the Math
It should not be hard to figure out that a Subscription to National
Communications and its 4 million frequency database makes sense. Now
you can get all the frequency information you will ever need and a bi-monthly
Scanner and CB magazine with handy to use information on how to get the best
use out of your radio equipment.
All for only $21.00
